Best Wishes

I have been a bit slacking in the blogger duties as of late. Work has me tied six ways to Sunday and when I get home I don't want to even look at a computer let alone sit behind one, when I just did that for 8 hrs.
But I contradict myself, with the very fact that I play WoW. But I guess that is different. At least in WoW it is not all text with this annoying blinking icon showing your place in the document. It is moving pictures and I am able to interact with other people, whether it be Alliance folks that I can group with and run an instance with or Horde as I stand over the corpse of their dead body that I just killed in PvP. Both are interactions and both break the monotony of my work day quite nicely.

But I am kind of missing the point of this entry. I, like Gun Lovin' Dwarf Chick (who by the way gave me my first comment), would like to say thanks to BRK for linking to my site. I don't really have anything other than that at the moment but I am working on an entry for the Hunter Epic quest that starts with getting an item from the second to last boss in MC (Molten Core). I think that it will be maybe a three to four parter, since I can talk at length about the four demons.

But for right now thanks again BRK and I hope to maybe one day make a name for myself like you have done.

P.S. BRK if you do read this and want the full size pic which is about 8x10 I can email it to you.

Hunter Pets. Why do they have to be such a pain sometimes?

I have a Cat that I stalked in Winterspring many moons before TBC ever came out. He is not much unlike BRK's kitty Hobbes from Winterspring but his coloring is different and he was a pain in the butt to get. I am talking about the elusive Rak'Shiri or if you were really lucky and some Hordies were in Winterspring doing a quest you may have had a chance to have tamed Shy-Rotam as well. But I named him 'Frostbite' after camping up there for 3 weeks straight, because that is what my character would have had all over his body.

Now if that was not bad enough fast forward a few months (more like 10) and TBC comes out. I start to level him with my other Cat who I have had since both him and I were level 10 together. I named him Fenrir he was a lowly Feral Nightsaber but I didn't care I have a pet now, and yes before I get posts about it I do realize Fenrir was a Wolf in mythology. But honestly when I went to name him that is what popped into my mind. Later on when I came across a pack of wolves I tamed one and tried to name it Fenrir as well but it just didn't feel the same. So I just stuck with my Cat. Frostbite was a bit annoying at times, always with his roaring and shaking of his head and such, always wanting to be fed to stay happy. But I stuck with him and he stuck with me and eventually we became best friends.

But he just was not up to snuff like Fenrir was. This is before Blizz in their infinite wisdom decided to normalize all pets to 2.0 Attack Speed. Fenrir used to be a 1.3 attack speed were as Frostbite was 1.5. I liked having a fast attack cat and I started to level Fenrir exclusivly and now both of us are level 70 now.

I said all of that to say this and to kind of get to my main point of this post. Frostbite when I stabled him was only level 61. After some debate I have since stabled Fenrir to give him a much needed rest and took out Frostbite. But I failed to take into consideration I am running around with mostly Kara purples and a wicked awesome set of crafted boots. I rip aggro off him like he were only a paper doll in front of the mob. I even tried to Misdirect to him and I still managed to rip aggro. Plus I am not really going to go to all the trouble of feigning death to wipe my aggro on just regular trash around Outlands. There is no way in hell I would even consider the notion of taking him into Kara or any raid in Outlands for that matter. That is just crazy talk. But that is the annoying part of not leveling your stabled pets along with your main up at the same time. I will get him to 70 I swear it. It will just take till the new expansion comes out. Just kidding on that. But seriously never neglect your pets, they may just come up form behind and bite you in the ass.

I guess this is a good place as any to stop. More later.

First rant and will not be the last

This is my first post and I do seem to be a bit tongue tied as I type this. I did originally want to talk about Hunter pets since this is going to be my main focus of this blog even though many people already have blogs for such things.

But I don't know, I just still feel I don't have much say in the grand scheme of things and I don't think anyone has for that matter. What I mean by that is, yes after a while if people do start to come to the site and get to check you out and see what you say they still have the choice to heed your advice or just blow you off. I would almost think that is some sort of exercise in futility ,because it just seems people blog just to see themselves on the internet. You could even make that assertation here with me now, because in a sense that is exactly what I am doing. But I never bought into the whole blog thing nor the Myspace webpages and such. It is a great place to maybe find people that you may have lost contact with, but for me it is just too hyped up. I remember when chat rooms where all the craze, but now they seem to be only places for people to go to try to pick up little boys or little girls and then find out that is some law enforcement officer 'acting' like a minor. But I guess enough of the dismal emo talk, time to talk Hunter.
